The Pro9000 has several versions depending on the year (2007,2008,2009)
At least compared with the older models the c600 seems to have better firmware,
although in terms of lenses, yes the pro9000 is better (also MJPEG frames seem
to have a lower compression ratio producing better pictures, in terms
of audio most
older models, even from other manufactures have a 16000 hz sample ratio)

In the end it just depends on what you want/need from a webcam,
in my case I use a stereo mic connected to my board, so it doesn't
bother me at all
the quality of the camera mic.
