Hi,
I am using Ubuntu 9.10 on a laptop with the 'BisonCam' (USB ID is 5986:0241). dmesg shows "No valid video chain found." It seems that if I were able to compile the latest driver, I'd be able to get my webcam to work - is this fair to say? I tried downloading the latest tarball for uvc and running "make", but it stopped with errors. When I ran "make all" it appeared to suggest that I'd need a 2.6.32 kernel or greater. Can anyone offer any guidance on how to get my webcam working? My initial guess would be that I need something other than the very latest and greatest as I think this problem was fixed a few months back, and that release would probably compile? Thanks in advance. _______________________________________________ Linux-uvc-devel mailing list Linux-uvc-devel@lists.berlios.de https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/linux-uvc-devel
