I can't really help you with that, I haven't tried H.264 on a B990 yet (one of the reasons is that I don't own any B990 :-)). > Secondly, after some period of running, the USB controller throws up an > over-current error, and then the device is not usable without a reboot. > Maybe this big sucker really draws too much current? That's not impossible. At least one Logitech webcam actually runs Linux embedded in the device (see https://opensource.logitech.com/logitech/), the B990 might as well. This could explain why the current consumption is higher than with microcontroller-based cameras. > Usually I am not able to two consecutive successful opens of the > device. > > By the way, I patched the driver to make the trace and quirks sysctl > parameters, since I have it compiled into the kernel. Aren't uvcvideo module parameters available through /sys/modules/uvcvideo/parameters/ even when uvcvideo is compiled in ? -- Regards, Laurent Pinchart _______________________________________________ Linux-uvc-devel mailing list Linux-uvc-devel@lists.berlios.de https://lists.berlios.de/mailman/listinfo/linux-uvc-devel
