Okay, I see you guys are playing around with the snakes this week.  I bought
the above card.  I tinker a teeny bit with Linux, but essentially gave up
until I get these cataracts removed.

Still, I gave it a cursory whirl when I got the card.  Of course there's no
entry for this beast in Xf86Config.  Sooo, my immediate question is: what
info need I glean from the adapter's manual to make X work with it.

Long term: hasn't anyone working on XFree figured out that we could use a
central location for descriptions of the adapters and monitors?  After all,
there are only so many adapter cards and monitors.  A Web page would be
nice, but I think a mailbot would be better.  Some address that I can send a
description to and have it added to the database once it's been proven to
work, and a similar address where I can request a complete table entry...

By the way, the Windows drivers don't use the AGP features.  Apparently, the
games are the only things that drive these dogeys flat out.  I don't know
about the Mac stuff; I don't even think the G3's have AGP, do they?
