Hi Tony, First of all I'm not sure that the 6LowPAN fully merged to linux-zigbee tree due to I worked with mainline kernel, so it may be a point.
Moreover, have you red about 6lowpan in kernel documentation (Documentation folder in sources)? Here I put some notes how to bring up ipv6 interface. Please feel free to ask me.
