Hi Werner, I think this is a good idea, because I get some nullpointer dereferencing if I do a scan on the at86rf230 devices.
I don't know if EINVAL the right errno here. Maybe we can use ENOTSUP which means "Operation not supported (POSIX.1)" from 'man errno'. But I don't know the exactly right errno here.
