I use the rf231 Modul from the RZ600 kit (http://www.atmel.com/tools/RZ600.aspx) in combination with the Raspberry PI. The kit contains a "squid cable", which allows you to connect the rf231 to the PI. With some small changes to the PI kernel you will get a basic setup.
