Je recherche un driver pour un winmodem que g dans une autre machine, et voilà
ce qu'on me répond...
Je pense avoir compris l'anglais, mais pas tellement les instructions.
Si g bien compris, g encore à télécharger un driver je ne sais trop où, et à
faire des modif' sous root, que je ferais bien de confier à qq1 qui saurait
ce qu'il fait à l'occasion d'une install party!
C faisable?

though carefully read the ModemDriverCompiling.txt

must first be removed (say to /root/)
as it sets a symbolic /dev/modem --> /dev/tts/0
link only appropriate to Controller chipset modems,
and the SmartLink package needs its own /dev/modem --> ModemPort Link
After driver installation, you will have to separate configure some dialout
utility. Under Mandrake, KPPP has worked fine for me,
through the wvdial.rpm package's
# wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf
is instructive and fun for initial testing.
