At least their size. If we assume Apple didn't use a stupid compression algorithm it should give an idea of the size of uncompressed ones. Average compression algorithms should reduce the size of a file down to 40-50% (just a guess, somebody should dig this). On the other hand a complete rewrite of the firmware will unlikely change the size that much. So, we should dig this to validate/invalidate the hypothesis that firmware is compressed before being ciphered. Any volunteer ? :) That's all folks -- Emmanuel Fleury | Office: 261 Associate Professor, | Phone: +33 (0)5 40 00 69 34 LaBRI, Domaine Universitaire | Fax: +33 (0)5 40 00 66 69 351, Cours de la Libération | email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] 33405 Talence Cedex, France | URL: http://www.labri.fr/~fleury _______________________________________________ Linux4nano-dev mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/linux4nano-dev http://www.linux4nano.org
