Is there a tool to put the osos,aupd,rsrc images extract2g outputs back together, and does it fix the file checksums? Do we know where file checksums are on the IN2G? I don't see much mention of them on the site, but the files have had checksums in all previous ipods, and the ipod certainly wouldn't boot with a mismatched checksum.
