Thanks God, there are still some people trying to do things ! I'm just a bit tired to shout after useless people... :) Concerning the progress, I had to suspend my ipod activities for some time but I'll have some time next semester. I really intend to dig the bootloader cipher and maybe to relate what we know on the iPod nano 2G to other iPod generations... it seems that we might have some good clues for this. As usually, help is wanted ! If you want something for Christmas, ... GO FOR IT ! And stop whining about it. For the record, I'm having some proposal for broken iPods, but most of them are from non-european, so the fees might make the gift not so cheap. But, if you have an experience in hardware hacking tell me, I'll maintain a list of people interested by getting broken iPods (and their country). I can be the switch.
