It probably can't because they won't have implemented that at all. Why
should they do that? It makes sense for devices where this DMA access is
required, but I can't see any reason why it should be there on an iPod.
Nevertheless, we should simply try it out. However, I don't have a
FireWire capable iPod. Who has access to a Classic?
