If you guys haven't heard already, Apple updated all three iPod lines
(Classic, Nano, Touch) at their press conference yesterday. We are wondering
if anyone is planning on getting one of these new iPods (excluding the
Touch). We need to see whether or not the shipped firmware already has the
notes vulnerability patched (like Apple has already done on the 4G). There
has been about a month since this patch and we're hoping Apple was too lazy
to fix it on the default firmware (which is unlikely). If the notes
vulnerability is patched, we will have to resort to other methods of gaining
execution. We don't have any alternatives yet, but if we find any they will
be kept secret so we don't make the same mistake of letting Apple know about
the notes vulnerability. If anyone has any possible vulnerabilities, please
do not post it on the mailing list or the Linux4nano IRC channels. PM a
trusted Linux4nano developer instead.
