Hey guys. U people are the only ones who know the best about ipod
classic 6gs out there.i mean the voltage that goes in,the data, the
pins layout on the ipod dock.i realy realy need ur help.so here goes
the story. I was trying to make myself a charger for my ipod classic
6g.the data lines, the middle 2 points on the usb port, D+ and D-,
which should have 2.6Vat D+ and 2.0V at D-.my problem, i supplied
nothing less than 9volts (i assume it to b,tho the source myt very wel
b 6V).i tried both the conditions in polarity.as in +9v dc to d+,
ground to d-, and thn, -9v dc to d+ and ground to d-.and i just
discovered my ipod doesnt get detectd by my laptop or computer at
al.when connectd, the ipod screen lights up as if sumthng is
connectd,bt no detection on computer means no data transfr plus no
charging through usb ports.please note, tht my ipod is working
fine.playing songs, evrythng.i just cant charge or transfer songs.in
diagnostic mode, the ipod detects that it is conectd thru usb.firewire
as always says 0.nt detected.is there anyway, any way tht i cn transfr
songs?i can stil charge through firewire, can i? Is there any fuse on
the mainboard, dock connecter, anythng on the data lines tht blew?guys
please please please help.my ipod is out of waranty.and i am fairly
experiencd wid ipod opening up.i just knw i wnt quite b able to
solder.bt please help guys.suggest anythng.evn if i cnt do
