Hmmm... I've never heard of someone using a destructive backspace on a
5250 terminal :)   

A quick hack to do a destructive backspace would be something like this:

+++ display.c   Wed Jan 10 11:21:15 2001
@@ -915,6 +915,7 @@
       break;
 
    case K_BACKSPACE:
+      tn5250_display_kf_delete (This);
       tn5250_display_kf_backspace (This);

Then recompile/reinstall...   This patch was made against the devel 
sources, but the same thing should work in the 0.16.x sources as well...
