Long story short, the first 2 CDs I burned for the NIC wouldn't run tn5250. The data from those attempts is not available for the time being. I switched to CDRW so I can test with the imperfections I'm used to :) and found that xt5250 fails to run. Apparently, xterm is not in the path. So I can either modify xt5250 to hardcode a path (or add a PATH variable), or move xterm so it's in the existing path. Since I didn't know what the problem was, I added myself a simple xterm icon so I could run commands and see the result (that's how I know about the path.) If I modify my path in that xterm and then run the xt5250 script, I see a window pop up and then disappear. I get a message "EXEC FAILED!" If I try to manually run the line where dialog runs (XT5250_HOST = "$DIALOG....) I get and error: Error opening terminal: xterm. Is this another config problem? (Error on my part running the command perhaps.) If I can get through this part, the only tricky thing left is host configuration. I'd really like to write the host to flash and let it default to the same as400 info until reconfigured (or if the flash is cleared, of course.) Speaking of clearing flash, the only way I could get my files out to flash was to clear flash by running http://localhost/cgi-bin/clear.cgi and reconfiguring after the reboot. +--- | This is the LINUX5250 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] | To subscribe to this list send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] | To unsubscribe from this list send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: [EMAIL PROTECTED] +---
