Named devices don't work

When launching xt5250 with this command "xt5250 -s BOB01 192.168.1.10" it shows BOB01 in the title bar, but it still grabs a QPADEV... device.  It should create a device name called BOB01.  Any ideas? Thanks,   Bob Luebbe
