If you have a Serial Controller on your AS/400 (ASCII Workstation Controller)
you can connect either via modem or direct connect to this controller. I've
done this in the past using standard dialup software and a VT100 emulator (both
come with Linux). I haven't needed this in a long time since we usr TCP/IP.
