Glibc 2.2 only defines printf as a macro for GCC 2.97 or greater (see
/usr/include/bits/stdio.h) so the problem in Debian bug #97380
probably isn't the same as your problem. There may be other issues
with GCC 2.96, though.
Post the errors from the compiler here, and/or try the latest tn5250
from CVS. If you *are* using tn5250 from CVS, post the versions of
automake, autoconf and libtool that you're using.
