But CA isn't free (as in speech or beer) as you need an appropriate
client license[1] - it's less stable too :-( Adding CA to boxes always
seems to be the kiss of death, with shutdown lockups being the most
common issue, but a hanging session (requiring a reboot) frequent too.
Some people seem to get by without problems, but they're not the
majority. In comparison tn5250 has been rock solid for me for the last
year or so, and the only crash I get with it is on some dodgy Synon
generated code that gives a session or device error all too frequently.
All that's required is a restart of xt5250 and OS/400 kindly connects me
back to my session and resumes where I left off :-)
I don't know if there are any free (as in beer) clients out there, but
it'd be nice to have a Win32 tn5250 client that just worked reliably like
the Linux version.

[1] Unless that's changed recently. ISTR our production box has unlimited
licenses, but our dev box has only 25.
