I am breaking the mailing list etiquite by asking first and looking
later since I am in a rush to find a solution to this problem. I am
working in an office that still has an AS/400 server. For all the
windows pcs, each person has an AS/400 emulation card such as an Afinity
Perl 5250 or a Bos 5250 card and of course they then run the Windows
software to access the AS/400. What we would LOVE to do is have a linux
server with these 5250 emulation card(s) that have linux 5250 client
software. From there, accessing linux from multiple environments and
connections is a breeze. How well does these tn5250 and tnj5250 work
with Afinity cards? Is there a way to run multiple instances of the
program to access multiple sessions? I know the Bos card with the bos
software can access 4 sessions at once. However, I have yet to put more
then one card in a system.

Has anyone done anything like this before?

Btw -since we can not modify the AS/400 system due to its leased nature,
we can not add an ethernet card to it and access it the easy way. The
way we could do that would cost us $1200 for the Ethernet card + more $$
for config. Then, each computer has to have this $150 windows only
program.

Also, there may be an opertunity for a few hundred $ to be funded to the
programer on this for helping - I am totally pro open source but money
pays the bills!

Thanks in Advance
