I'm not aware of any "refresh timer" or "reconnect timer" in lp5250d.  If
the socket gets closed, lp5250d will simply end.

However, in debugging I've determined that ending the writer does not
cause the socket to close.   However, varying off the device certainly
WOULD cause this.  But, you haven't mentioned the device being varied off,
just the writer ending.
