As in that post, this is something I'd quite like as well. Unfortunately its fallen to the way side, partially because it looked like we were having serious issues with tn5250 on windows, even after the machines were formatted. Queerly enough after doing everything under the sun it seems it was only a problem with those three machines. I can only assume it was a hardware problem (ram?) that only showed up when tn5250 was running along side other apps.So, my application need to: 1. connect to AS/400 2. send the keystrokes with the appropriate format. 3. get the screen content to get the reply.I've run through the archive of this mailing list (at least for the recent message up until August 2002), and only found the following related messages: http://archive.midrange.com/linux5250/200210/msg00007.html
Anyways. My goal was to have a program connect to a port to talk to tn5250, and be able to hand that session over to the user after navigating to the appropriate screen. Hopefully in a month or two I'll have time to think about looking at it again :-)
