I'm a bit confused.   How do the display sessions keep running after you
kill X?

That's the standard way to kill any program.  "Signal 15" is "SIGTERM" the
terminate signal...  It should be the default for both the kill and
killall commands.

This I don't understand.  I've tried to reproduce it, and I can't.  I can
start 20 xt5250 sessions from a shell script, all at the same time, and I
don't have this problem.

I'd like to try to get to the bottom of the "sessions not connecting"
problem.   What version of TN5250?   Are you using SSL?   After you've
answered these questions, I'll (assuming that you're willing) put together
a version of TN5250 that provides some better diagnostics about what's
going wrong.
