Hello folks. A quick run through freshmeat and a compile later
has given me a wonderful tool that I just wanted to drop a word to you
all about given the long discussion we hand on Samba last night.
Matt was looking for a way to graphically browse SMB shares on
Linux. I have long known that such things exist, but I had not until
now used one. Our investigations succeeded in bringing us
"LinNeighborhood" (http://www.bnro.de/~schmidjo/) Which gives very
close to perfect Network BNeighborhood functionality to Linux, so long
as your smbmnt and smbumount binaries are suid'd.
I believe that it would be a wonderful tool for those of us
running in a mixed environment network.
