Our client in Long Island, NY is looking for a financial industry savvy Linux administrator for a Small investment bank located in Long Island, NY, looking to expand its systems administration group. The company has 135 people, 60 of whom are PhDs, in existence for 20 years, stable and profitable.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Linux admin - 4-5 yrs of Linux of recent Linux exp. Solaris exp a must (please remember this is a Linux position, not Solaris with a few months of Linux thrown in). If a person spent less than 50% of their time with Linux, please don?t submit. At least 2 years of experience in a 24/7 production environment is a must. Finance industry experience is a strong plus. Experience with building/recompiling Kernels is necessary; if they have any systems programming exp that?s also a strong plus. Please indicate the Linux experience clearly on the resume. COMPENSATION: $100K+ based on experience 14% bonus quarantined 15-42% bonus based on individual performance VISA STATUS: US/Canadian citizens only or US green cardholders.
