Good points. <g> Or the broadcasters have the gall to come up with an extension of the infamous "shrinkwrap contracts" whereby the customer by the mere act of tuning in to the channel is deemed to have agreed to all kinds of hidden obligations. Now the Turner Broadcasting CEO would not be likely to pull off a criminal theft complaint under USA (or most other places') law. They are trying to use a bogus moral claim. Lately, some sectors of the publishing and the broadcasting industry have been coming up with outrageous statements. About a year ago, a publishers' association called librarians as the kin of terrorists for the <gasp> horrible practice of sharing information with people AND not charging them a fee at every step.
