You are receiving this email from deep in the heart of the Cherry Hill LUG meeting, right while it's happening! This is your roving LUG reporter, on location, who found himself a net connection.
The topic tonight is a demonstration of MythTV running on Linux. It'll be exciting if they get it working. It's wrapped into a Knoppix package which should boot live but there seem to be some install and driver issues. Consequently I got bored and decided to give this news report.
The meeting here is well attended. Almost every seat filled. It's in a nice computer lab in a nice facility down here near Exit-4 on the Jersey Turnpike. Quite a busy LUG. We should keep an eye on these guys. They're movin' and shakin'.
One thing they did which I'd like to do at HAMLUG is: They went around the room and everyone said something about their latest Linux project. That was good to let everyone else know what people are doing and where they're at with Linux. We should do that at HAMLUG.
OK, I think the demo is starting. Signing off now, live from CHLUG.
