I use noveau (the Nvidia open source driver).

NVidia's closed source crap is just that, crap. We have a set of machines
that won't boot without a monitor in UEFI mode and lock up randomly in BIOS
mode. But of course I have to support that @%#$ because of CUDA.
Of course, Intel is still your best choice if you don't need performance.
