I think any USB video class camera will work fine; the bad old days of wacky and proprietary webcam protocols are mostly gone. Try to get a camera that supports UVC 1.1, because AFAIK UVC 1.5 support is not quite there yet in the Linux kernel. Regards, Dianne.
