Today Mary and I tried mapivi. It's a tk-perl program and while a bit
"old-fashioned" in appearance, does the job apparently quite well (we
captioned about 40 photos from a WW2 album of my father, in the process
noting he had a photo of a rare He 219). Sadly, mapivi is not in the
general Debian repositories, but I did find a deb available on the web.
