TTER runs an as-is store on Fridays and Saturdays. The last time I was in there they had a pile of older computers with Linux Mint pre-installed.

Yes, they recycle or resell electronics. All sorts of stuff. And if you are
installing Linux on a budget you can get a core2 duo or similar PC for $100 -
$200. Some servers are for sale too. Or a Playbook 32 anyone?

HiTTE used to take back things that they can sell for cheap, which they
dealt with in a separate store area 3 units down.Maybe they still
do?Are they are an official e-waste recycling center?
If you don't want to go all the way to Bells Corners, the Salvation
Army takes e-waste.If I was going to be at the meeting, I would take it
for my Scout troop, which also collects e-waste and metal for
recycling. They take old lawn mowers, fridges, hunks of molded aluminum
>from cars, especially from this scouting area. But I don't even have a
car to take such stuff home, and I won't be at the meetings this year.

Thanks Roland,
The "separate store" I was referring to is the "physical" store they
used to have, in space now used by a musical instrument place - Fleet
Pro Sound. I mean they expanded into it. I think they have been in that
location for 10 or 15 years.
Thanks for pointing out that site, TTER.ca, I didn't know about it.
All my very best,
Rob

Wow.
Sorry for the repeated mailout. There it was in my drafts, and I
thought, "Oh. Must not have sent it, or it didn't work."I'm not blaming
Yahoo Mail, I should have checked.
My apologies for snow falls of email.
