[linux] probleme de apt-get

salut tout le monde
j'ai un probleme que je ne sais pas resoudre sur une debian 3.0
a chaque x que je fais apt-get update ou tout autre commande dans dselect, j'ai l'erreur suivante qui s'affiche
"Reading Package Lists... Error !
E: Dynamic MMap ran out of room
E: Dynamic MMap ran out of room
E: Error occured while processing gcc-3.2 (NewVersion)
E: Problem with MergeList /var/lib/dpkg/status
E: The package lists or status file could not be parsed or opened."
