[linux] kernel panic !!!!

salut tout le monde
sur une debian 3.0, j'ai un kernel bf que j'ai voulu changer en i386 normal.et maintenant quand je veux bouter sur ce nouveau kernel, j'ai toujour les err. suivantes
"Request_module[block-major-3]: root fs not mounted"
"vfs: cannot open root device "345" or 03:45"
"please append a correct "root=" boot option"
"kernel panic: vfs: unable to mount root fs on 03:45"
sur google j'ai trouve des centaines d'info. pour ce probleme, toutes plus contradictoires les une que les autres. pourtant sans vrais solution.
si qlq. a une idee, elle est la bien venue
