Habe daraufhin mal probiert mit xrandr zu spielen:

... aber wirklich weitergekommen bin ich damit bisher noch nicht.
Apropos: Kann das in diesem Falle Stress machen, dass eine KVMoverCat5
Box zwischen Box und Monitor hängt? - Wie gesagt, beim alten xorg.conf
Setup unter Etch war das kein Thema.
