 I want to know the difference between load average and CPU usage.

            Hi Nilesh,

               I think u r talking about the o/p of #uptime command.  Instead u 
can try #sar command which shows o/p in following form,

 

# sar 1 4

%usr   %sys   %wait  %ideal  %avg      if u add %usr,%sys,%wait  it will give u 
CPU usage.
