Try reconfiguring your X server.

Go  to runlevel 3  (init 3)

then configure X server using cmd:system-config-display

now switch to runlevel 5 (init 5)

It should work fine now

      Dear All,

Following error message showing in RHEL 5

The X server (your graphical interface) can not be started. It is likely that
it is not setup correctly. you will need to login in on a console and remain
the X configuration application then restart GDM.

Plz suggest steps to solve this problem.
