Hi dude,

If u have right entries in /etc/exports i.e.



/dir (directory u want to share)  *(rw,sync)  -----> if you want it to share 
with world

and have restarted your portmap and nfs services
try to mount it (nfs share) on the same same server.
if it gets mounted, check your network/firewalls.

For the error 


#showmount -e

error : RPC: Rpcbind failure - RPC: Timed out

check if u have rt entries in /etc/hosts

      Hi all,



I have succesfully configured nfs opend port 2049,111,32771( udp and tcp)

But when i going to hit following command,



#showmount -e

error : RPC: Rpcbind failure - RPC: Timed out



and try to mount as follow,



#mount -t /server:/folder /mnt

error:



mount: mount to NFS server failed: timed out (retrying).



I googled a lot but not any output,



SO anybody having some idea, please let me know.....
