it  seems to  be a  driver issue, so download & install.

      Hi 

Guys i have a laptop dell 1550 stdio

i have windows vista pre installed on that it is guineune and i have installed 
fedora 8 on that laptop

The problem is i am able to configure lan card on windows & i am able a assign 
ip on  my choise

BUt on fedora i am unable to assing the ip 

when i do /etc/init.d/ network restart



it says erroe deyaling device (some thing like that )

and i am unable to assign ip to fedora

i tryed some stuff but that did not help me 



Can u tell me how solve this issue

& Does dell support Fedora os 

and is possible to configure lan on Dual boot system



{NOTE : THE LAPTOP IS OF MY PROJECT MANAGER SO CAN NOT  TAKE HIS MUCH TIME I 
HAVE SOLVE THIS WITH 30 MIN IF I START WORKING  ON LAPTOP }
