Hi Mayuresh,

Pleas try the following on your test server.

Assuming that there are two hbas, numbered 0 and 1 :-

echo "- - -" > /sys/class/scsi_host/host0/scan
echo "- - -" > /sys/class/scsi_host/host1/scan

Hi,

I have Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.4 server which hosts 11g Oracle database. This
server is in cluster (Oracle RAC) with other node. They both access a shared
filesystem which comes from Hitachi AMC 2300 storage. They have 2 Emulex HBA
cards each and have multipathing achived using Hitachi storage drivers
Dlinkmanager.

The problem i am into is whenever i assign a new LUN i need a reboot to see it
on OS. Can anyone suggest workaround, reboot is hurting us very much.

Regards,
Mayuresh Pohare
