I know that Linux administration is the act of installing and maintaining Linux on a number of computers. This involves patching software, configuration, etc. I'm guessing Linux internals is actually writing code for various pieces of software, like the kernel. > 2} as a fresher , with electrical back ground [M.tech in controls, > B.tech in (e.e.e)],what are the pre-requisites to learn the couse.I > know only C,and my academic subjects. I'm not sure what courses you mean. I learned everything I knew without knowing how to program in C, and I have a Aerospace Engineering degree. If you're talking about a formal course in Linux, I'd expect you should talk to the people that are running the course. You seem to be running under the assumption that there is one universal Linux Course, which isn't the case. > 3) what are the job oppurtinites available for the linux > professionals. Most of the programming is done by people in their spare time. There are very few companies that base themselves on making money on programming for Linux. You'll have a much better chance with administration. Chad Martin ------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Sponsor --------------------~--> Make a clean sweep of pop-up ads. Yahoo! Companion Toolbar.
