We generally refer to this as an e-list, or an e-group, as opposed to
a 'reflector'.

Not everyone on this list is a 'newbie', and some of the newbies, are
newer than others. I am a newbie who has been running Linux for
several years.

Usually, on this list, which is the newbie list for another Yahoo
e-list named simply 'linux' ...the newbies take a crack at answering
each others questions, and if one of the gurus/old-timers spots bed
info being passed, they will step in with a correction (if they are
paying attention).
