Actually I am not new to "Reflectors". I belong to 14 currently
covering Amateur Radio, Computers, Digital Photography but yes most are
Amateur Radio related from info on Radios, Radio Teletype modes (RTTY),
contesting, to software, to DXing.

My purchase of SUSE was impulsive. I'd been told by my DP staff that I
should go with Redhat but I saw SUSE sitting there on the shelf and
bought it. It did not occur to me that the GUI I'll need to run to get
anything useful out of Linux is bloated. That makes sense but I'm sure
it will be a long time before I learn enough to use a more trim
environment. Also my time is limited. Not because of work . . . too
many hobbies . . . let's see; wife, gym, lighthouse and bird
photography, amateur radio, fly fishing, computers and that's not
including combinations of all of the above. That works out to 7! or 7
factorial. . . doesn't leave much time.
