I have Samba up and running now, as I mentioned on my other post, later in the morning, on the 'linux' list. I used smbpasswd to add a user, and it worked fine. I still have some clean-up to do... I used an absolutely minimal smb.conf file, just to get things running without a lot of variables, that might have created problems. I'll probably have more questions later, but as I did pick up the 'The Official Samba 3' book, I am getting a lot of questions answered from the book. Pretty interesting, Samba... a real learning experience on both the Linux and Windows sides... getting them to dance together nicely.<g> -- -wittig http://www.robertwittig.com/ .
