Well, I'm getting closer. I uninstalled the ndiswrapper that comes with Mandriva 2006, installed the kernel sources, then installed ndiswrapper v1.6 which I downloaded from ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net.
With that done, I did an ndiswrapper -l bcmwl5a.inf, ndiswrapper -m, and restarted -- no love. I ran modprobe ndiswrapper and that brought some change -- the light on the wireless button came on. I ran ifconfig and wlan0 looks pretty good -- it pulled an IP and all. Problem is, it isn't routing. I tried pinging the gateway and all I get back is: >From 192.168.1.10 icmp_seq=1 Destination Host Unreachable I went in and set the IP for the interface manually -- same result.
