Newbie to Linux using Mandrake 10.1. I like it so far.
Question on a script:
What does this script do? I have deciphered the different parts for
the most part. I dont understand it when getting to "$1 > $1.tmp" on
the first line. The second line is renaming, is that correct?
sed -e 's/red/blue/g' $1 > $1.tmp
mv $1.tmp $1
This is for my Unix class and I have 3 scripts to figure out and I
have solved 2 of them but this one just seems out there.
