Hi Rajiv,

I ain't no expert but from past experience it appears that the way Fedora
handles the partition tables is slightly different to the way windows does, and
hence you still have problems with booting windows even if you have created
seperate partitions for Windows and Fedora and a swap partition. If you do
experience this problem a few possible fixes :
  1) Change the hard drive mode in the CMOS settings, not sure what it should
be but I think the mode should be LBA. Google may be able to give you a
definite answer.
  2) Rather than use Grub, maybe opt for a third party bootloader. If you
decide to try this you have to specify during the Fedora install that you want
the grub bootloader installed in the partition that Fedora is in rather than
the MBR. You will then load the third party boot-loader into the MBR, point it
to the different partitions and you should have no problems. A good one to try
would be GAG, it's a graphical bootloader that handles most operating systems,
and it is a reasonably small download.
  3) One final option if all else fails is to using your windows XP
installation disk go to the recovery console and type "fixmbr" this will
reinstall the windows bootloader into the MBR, which will make windows bootable
again, but then you will still have to either revert to step 2 to get your
Fedora working or edit the NT bootloader to include Fedora in the boot optins.
You may not even run into these problems or someone else on the group may
know a way of doing it without experiencing the above problems. Also I would
suggest you look at Ubuntu if you haven't done so already. I haven't
experienced any of the above issues with Ubuntu, yoiu just create a partition
for Ubuntu and a swap partition, run the install disk and it works.

Hope it works out for you.
