Windows malware does not affect *nix systems, but exploits do exist that are crafted specifically for *nix and *nix applications. Linux machines are more likely than Windows to be running web services like sshd, ftpd, httpd, etc., and to have CGI scripts running, so these are the kinds of targets that crackers go after on *nix boxes.
