Can that laptop boot a factory-stamped Windows CD?
If so, then the problem is likely a bad CD burn. You didn't burn a big
.iso file, or use some sort of tool to 'extract' the files out of the
.iso to burn to the CD, did you? (those are the two most common
problems that make a CD not-bootable)
