Can you be more specific? Are you running RedHat Enterprise Linux 3? And is 
your server running on an Intel Itanium processor? cause the package you 
chose is for IA64, which is the Itanium architecture.

If you want to stick to MySQL 4.1.11, you can download the binaries from the 
MySQL website directly at:

http://downloads.mysql.com/archives.php?p=mysql-4.1&v=4.1.11

There is a whole set of rpms for RHEL3 for x86, AMD64/EM64T and IA64.

If you want to get the newer stable release, 5.0, you can download it from:

http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/5.0.html

For details on how to install RPMs, you can read the rpm man pages by 
typing:

man rpm

at the shell.
